Setting up your account:
1How to Use TurnItIn.com:
- Go to link above.
- Click on Create Account (upper right of the screen)
- A new page will open. Scroll down and select, "student"
- On the Create a New Student Account page, you will need to enter the Course ID number and password for YOUR CLASS PERIOD. Doing so will place your name on the TurnItIn rosters for the correct class.
- Every BHS student has been given a school-generated e mail address to use for schoolwork and school communication. Use your Buford High School e mail address (your first initial, last name, and lunch id number followed by @bufordcityschools.org. Example: [email protected]) to set up your turnitin.com account. Create your own unique password, using the instructions on the turnitin.com page.
- WRITE YOUR PASSWORD IN YOUR AGENDA, OR SOMEWHERE YOU KNOW YOU CAN FIND IT.
- Enter the required personal information on the set-up page, and click that you agree to the TurnItIn terms of use.
- You have now created a new account and can use TurnItIn for your Language Arts assignments.
To submit a paper:
- Log in to turnitin.com
- Click on your Language Arts class
- Select the correct assignment
- Click "Submit."
- On the next page, click on the down arrow next to Cut and Paste Upload, and choose Single File upload, instead.
- Enter a title
- Select the location from which you wish to upload your work, highlight the correct assignment, and click upload.
- Once upload is complete, click the "confirm" button, and you are done!
